Happiness is a state of mind. It’s a feeling that keeps people healthy and fit. Even though, the word sounds too simple; but it is actually difficult to achieve nowadays. We all want happiness, but we seldom know the actual route to attain true happiness. There are many meditation or yoga centers that give a speech on happiness.
In general, the word satisfaction is defined as fulfillment or gratification of desires, feelings or expressing pleasures, happiness, contentment and optimism. It is the knack of finding a positive for every negative. Satisfaction wholly depends upon the individuals’ environment, caliber, behavior and nature.
Self-awareness is “the ability to realize what we are doing as we do it, and understand why we are doing it.”(Pg. 20) So, first, if you need to find out the way to improve your self-control, you must exert your self-awareness to understand when and how your self-control can be lost control, which is so related with your physiological changes.
Happiness can be either feeling or showing, meaning that happiness is not necessarily an internal or external experience, but can be both. Now we have a better grasp on what happiness is—or at least, how the Oxford English Dictionary defines what happiness is. However, this definition is not the end-all, be-all definition of happiness.
Happiness is always a by-product. It is probably a matter of temperament, and for anything I know it may be glandular. But it is not something that can be demanded from life, and if you are not happy you had better stop worrying about it and see what treasures you can pluck from your own brand of unhappiness.
